That would be quite a popular carnival game, yes.
I'm not quite sure how this makes me feel. It offers at just a hint of the picture, I feel, leaving more questions than it answers. Who are the pronouns referring to, and do they overlap? Are any of these individuals happy? ("Well-deserved" implies yes) But I like that aspect, and the format works well for it.
